Eric Ku
, Graphiatrist / Noise New YorkEric Ku was born in Taiwan in 1982. In 2001, Ku moved to the United States, and in 2009, he graduated with a B.A. in graphic design from the School of Visual Arts in New York.
In 2010, Ku partnered with the designer Alex Merto to found Graphiatrist, a Brooklyn based multi-disciplinary design studio.
Ku began working at the New York-based digital marketing agency, Noise New York, in 2011, where he works on branding, editorial, and website and app designs. Clients include Intel, GE, and Facebook.
Ku’s work has been featured in numerous magazines and books. His work has been exhibited at the Graphic Design Museum in Breda, The Netherlands; the Museum für Druckkunst in Leipzig, Germany; Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum and the Type Director’s Club in New York, NY; and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, MN.
Ku’s awards include a 55th Annual Type Director's Club Annual Competition award in 2009; the 2010 "20 under 30 New Visual Artists" award by Print Magazine; and a 46th Annual Society of Publication Designers' Merit Award in 2011.
