Paul Cocksedge
, Paul Cocksedge StudioPaul Cocksedge was born in London in 1979. In 1997, Cocksedge studied industrial design at Sheffield Hallam University in South Yorkshire, England. He returned to London to study at the Royal College of Art with the designer Ron Arad, and he earned his M.A. in product design in 2002.
In 2003, Cocksedge and his business partner, Joana Pinho, co-founded the London-based Paul Cocksedge Studio. There, they design concepts, installations, public art, and exclusive interior objects. Clients include BMW, Flos, Hermès, Swarovski, The Bombay Sapphire Foundation, Rocco Forte Hotels, and Sony.
Cocksedge was nominated for the Design Museum London’s Designer of the Year prize in 2004, he was the recipient of the London Crafts Council Development Award in 2005, and he was a finalist in the Grand Designs Awards, Best Lighting Design, in 2009.
