Didier Tisseyre

Didier Tisseyre
French, b. 1958

Didier Tisseyre first studied fine art in Aix en Provence. He discovered glass as a material at the Centre International du Verre et Arts Plastiques (CIRVA) in Marseille and went on to study casting techniques with a F.I.A.C.R.E. grant in the Czech Republic. Tisseyre also traveled to Brazil, Africa, and India, while working on textiles projects with communities. After his travels, he created a studio in Provence.

Tisseyre currently uses the casting know-how of Czech studios to give three-dimensional life to the signs and figures that he usually first draws on paper or paints on canvas.
